It was late in July when I started feeling strange. Up until then I had never had so much heartburn in my life. We knew there was a possibility that I was pregnant, we just had to wait a few more days to find out! July 27 I said to Allan that I wanted to stop and pick up a home test. He said, let's wait a few more days. The next day, I ignored waiting, and ran out to buy a test. I cried as I read the results. We were PREGNANT!!

The Baby's Room

Since buying our house, we have been renovating and restoring it! It was time to fastforward our plans and devote more time to the little room next to ours. Right now we are working on new drywall. Being a very old house, built in 1915, it still has plaster on the walls! Soon we will be PAINTING!! We are planning the theme of Winnie the Pooh. Our favorite character is Eyore, so we will have him as the main accent.

Selecting a name for a new baby is a fun, emotional, and momentous decision. We knew long ago what our favorite names were!

If we have a boy:
Gregory Ross

We chose this name for several reasons. Gregory is Allan's middle name as well as his father's name. Ross is Shari's father's name. They sound great together!

If we have a girl:
Alison Mary

This is a special name for Shari. It honors both of her grandmothers. Alison is her maternal grandmother's middle name. And Mary is her paternal grandmother's first name.
